Wood windows and doors on historic buildings are often an important architectural element and should be restored when possible. Wood window and door restorations can often be done at a savings in cost from replacement with new. Durable Restoration also can replicate most any window or door which is deteriorated beyond a repairable state.
Our preservationist, Shawn Beckwith, is an expert in the area of wood window restoration and has lectured on the subject at preservation conferences. He has overseen the restoration of wood windows and doors on restoration projects such as the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House and the historic Reese Peters mansion.
