The Durable Restoration Company - Award Winning Historic Restoration Contactor

Much of the custom millwork that is needed on projects performed by Durable Restoration is done in-house in our woodworking shop. Most moldings found in historic buildings have profiles and sizes not readily available at local home repair centers. Often, the lead time to make custom moldings can be long and the cost high especially if one is dealing with limited footage. With our own woodworking shop, we can produce many custom wood pieces at a reasonable cost without unnecessary delays on the project.

Matt Lamparyk oversees our woodworking shop. He has been a finish carpenter for many years and has created and installed intricate trim work on large estate manors and museums as well as simple, but no longer available, custom moldings for century-old vernacular homes.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott House
Springfield, Ohio

Restoration of the Burton J. Westcott house, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, transformed a deteriorating structure into a dazzling house museum. The house, built in 1908, is the only example of Wright’s prairie-style architecture in Ohio. Durable Restoration served as the construction manager for this restoration – taking the building from an altered and dilapidated state and returning it to its former glory. Custom millwork as an important part of this historic restoration.
