Strand Theatre
Moundsville, West Virginia
Durable Restoration restored the exterior façade of the historic Strand Theatre in Moundsville, West Virginia.

Built in 1920 as a vaudeville theater, it served as a venue for live plays, films, and variety shows.  The Strand Theater is an anchor building in the Moundsville Historic Landmark District, and is the second largest theater on the Ohio River within a five city span.  It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

	The decorative metal soffits were restored.
	The lower cornice and the original marquee with its ornamental metal panels, stained glass, and electric lighting were faithfully replicated.
	New ticket booths which incorporated the original historic glass transoms were installed.
